Our Mission
And Training Philosophy

The Vision

For Individual Development.

At Team Tendy, our primary focus is small group training. We believe the best development happens in an intentional, high-standard environment where goalies are known, challenged, and coached with purpose. We believe the optimal training environment is an expert coach working with a group of five to ten goalies at a time, allowing for meaningful instruction, accountability, and consistent engagement. Having the correct coach-to-goalie ratio is critical—goalies do not improve simply by getting reps. They need an expert eye to identify details, correct habits, and guide necessary adjustments. Growth requires change, and change requires a ratio that allows the coach to truly understand each goalie, recognize their strengths, and help them make the specific improvements needed to reach the next level. Small groups allow us to maximize reps, demand game-speed execution, and provide honest, individualized feedback.

We believe the goalie is the most important position on the field.

Our approach is intense, focused, and detail-driven—pushing goalies to prepare with urgency, compete with confidence, and continually raise their level of play. To uphold these high standards, we intentionally keep our training sessions two hours or less. We want maximum effort, focus, and engagement throughout every session. We believe iron sharpens iron, and we use competition as a tool to draw out the game-like effort and intensity required to perform at our best. We consistently seek feedback from our goalies to help shape and influence their preparation and long-term development. We often ask goalies to arrive 15 minutes early, and many choose to stay after sessions as well—these hours each week are some of our favorites, marked by growth, relationships, and shared commitment to the position.

The Goalie Relationship

For Men's and Women's Players.

Team Tendy is equally committed to developing both men’s and women’s lacrosse goalies. While each game presents unique demands, our standards remain the same: intentional training, high expectations, and purposeful progression. Our small group environment allows us to tailor instruction while delivering the same level of care, intensity, and coaching excellence to every athlete.

What makes Team Tendy different is the long journey we walk with our goalies. Many of our athletes have been training with us for years, not hours—allowing relationships, trust, and development to compound over time.

  • Safety-first, confidence-building training: Goalies learn to make saves with their body while developing proper technique and confidence, with injury risk intentionally minimized without sacrificing intensity or effectiveness.

  • Trusted development environment: Families and coaches can be confident that Team Tendy prioritizes goalie health while maintaining a high standard of training in every session.

  • Collegiate goalies training alongside youth—at no cost: College goalies stay connected to the program, elevate session intensity, and serve as role models and supplemental coaches for the next generation.
